My sister was getting married to a true bonsai geek, so of course I couldn’t say no to illustrating a series of their favorite bonsais! These custom illustrations were used for the wedding seating chart and table markers.
I might have spent more time researching and learning about bonsai varieties than expected, but it was completely worth it. To make things easy for the couple, I also created custom Canva templates with the illustrations so they could edit guest names and print the seating graphics themselves.
A Behind-the-Scenes Touch: As maid of honor, my main priority on the big day was celebrating with my sister, not running around taking professional photos! The guests loved the seating cards so much that most were taken home before I had a chance to shoot them... I used a bit of post-editing magic to polish up the remaining candid snapshots so every detail looks just as great here as it did in person.
