For this project, I was in charge of designing and animating the title and end credit sequence for Tamagoyaki, a heartwarming short film about the love mothers give to their children through the art of food, especially in the Japanese culture where love signs may not be so openly done. The challenge for me here was to make sure the feeling of the illustrations and design matched seamlessly with the pacing of the movie and its messaging.
Styleframes & Process

After meeting with the director and understanding the desired direction, the process started designing different options for both the title and end credits. For the end credits, we explored the possibility of having the story from the short continue having the mother and daughter go grocery shopping and preparing onigiri (rice balls) together, similar to the ones we see in the film the mother does for the daughter.
